TIANJIN, July 4 (Xinhua) -- 20-year-old Mostafa Salah, whose Chinese name is Guo Zhenkai, is one of the first batch of Egyptian Luban Workshop graduates at Tianjin Transportation Technical College.

In 2024, after graduating from the Luban Workshop at the Advanced Technical School for Maintenance Technology in Cairo, Salah chose to continue his studies in new energy vehicle technology and came to Tianjin.

"The training equipment in both countries is highly compatible. China's new energy vehicle industry is thriving, and here I can learn cutting-edge knowledge and hands-on experience," Salah said.

With the guidance of his Chinese teachers and the help of classmates, Salah is now capable of operating equipment independently and has acquired skills in diagnosing and repairing faults in new energy vehicles after a year of training.

Today, an increasing number of Chinese-brand new energy vehicles can be seen on the streets of Egypt, and many Chinese enterprises invest in factories in Egypt.

"Learning new energy vehicle technology gives us a more promising career when we return to our hometown," Salah said.

As of June this year, the Luban Workshop operated by Tianjin Transportation Technical College and the Advanced Technical School for Maintenance Technology in Cairo has trained over 2,000 Egyptian teachers and students, contributing skilled technical talent to support the development of Egypt's automotive industry.
